This rating means that a break-in attempt that lasts 30 minutes with all known power tools – may these be carbide cutters, drills, power saws, or sledgehammers – will still be withstood by this safe. AMSEC AMVAULT CF7236 Safe is rated for 2 hours 350 degree F performance. This means that when exposed to strong fire at 1850 degrees F, the safe’s internal temperature was below 350 degrees F after 2 hours. This is one of the best fire ratings possible for any vault or safe. An average house fire only reaches 1200 degrees F, so the fire protection offered by this category of safes is exemplary.
CF7236 Safe is made with a 6” steel door and 3 ½” thick steel body. The defense barrier in the door has proprietary steel nuggets and fibers along with composite materials. A Heavy Duty pull handle features Group 2M key changeable combination lock. There are 10 bolts which are of 1½“ diameter. A spring-loaded detent mechanism is also standard. Bolts stay in a retracted position when the door is open and automatically engages in closing. A Three-way bolt is optional. It has a 72” high and 36” wide interior, with a depth of 23”.
