Gardall BGF-6024 bears an RSC (Residential Security Container) label after passing a UL-designed test to resist home burglary. In this trial, one man tries to attack the unit for 5 minutes using tools normally found in a household. This safe features an external dimension of 59.13″H x 24″W x 22″D and weighs 520 pounds. It can also hold 16 rifles without scopes, with its interior storage of 10.7 cubic feet. 60-minute fire protection
In cases of fire, Gardall BGF-6024 can also protect its contents. It features a 60-minute fire rating. In addition, it passed a test that put it under an external heat of 1,400°F for 1 hour and maintained its interior below 350°F. This gun safe also showcases 2 layers of ½” fireboard insulation and an intumescent door seal that expands to 7x more from its original size, further strengthening its fire protection ability. It also has a heavy-duty matte black powder coat that underwent a thermal curing process, unlike liquid-type paints, making it more resistant to flame.
Strong body built and a pry-resistant door
Gardall BGF-6024 also features an 11-gauge body, meeting the construction requirement of a quality gun safe. It also has a pry-resistant 1/4″ steel door and anchor holes that you can utilize to mount this safe into the ground securely.
Spy-proof dial locking mechanism
This high-security safe includes seven active 1 ½” bolts and three-way locking bolts (top, side, and bottom) that secure the door into the safe’s body. It comes with a standard mechanical lock with a key-locking spy-proof dial which operates without batteries or a power source, making it very cost-efficient and reliable. However, you can upgrade to a more advanced S &G Titan Electronic Lock that allows easy retrofit without bolt work or mounting screw location changes.
