It passed a fire-endurance test where its furnace was under an external temperature of 18500°F with a maintained interior temperature of 350°F for two hours. It achieved its impact rating because it proved its capability to withstand a fall from multiple stories, dropping into a pile of bricks. It was put back in the furnace then reheated. After these extensive tests, the unit maintained the Fahrenheit and sample papers’ readability left inside the safe.
