FireKing 4R-1822-C offers a space-saving storage solution with its external dimension of 52.75″H x 17.75″W x 22.13″D and storage space of 1.11 cubic ft. It has four drawers where you can file both your letter and legal-sized documents. You can file your letter-sized files from front to back and the legal-sized documents from side to side.
Superior impact protection and fire resistance
This file cabinet has excellent impact protection on all sides because of its unparalleled steel lattice reinforcement. FireKing 4R-1822-C passed a Class 350 certification, proving its capability to protect its contents during a fire. In this 1-hour test, the file cabinet is inside a special oven that heats it under 1700° F temperature. After exposing it under extreme heat, the unit was lifted to a 30-foot-high area then dropped to a concrete pad. They opened and checked the unit and found that the contents remain undamaged.
Passed a severe water-resistance test
Water from fire hoses, sprinklers, and fire extinguishers may also cause severe damages to file cabinets. However, FireKing 4R-1822-C proved its resistance to water after passing a water-resistance test that subjected the unit to two conditions. One was under a 15-minute test with up to 1,000 gallons of water spray, and the other was letting it stand under 6 inches of water for one hour.
Cleverly-designed drawer with recessed handles
This 435-pound file cabinet showcases recessed drawer pulls, which allows you to utilize space. FireKing 4R-1822-C also features a 2-position catch that provides access to a single drawer while the others remain locked. In addition, there is fireproof gypsum insulation in the drawer heads’ welded steel construction. Each drawer also includes insulation in between, creating separate insulated containers that prevent fire from spreading.
