Superior fire protection
FireKing 4-2536-C’s insulation material underwent a severe test to ensure its heat resistance and fire protection. Inside a burn chamber, the unit was under an exterior temperature of 1700°F for one hour. The inside temperature did not go beyond 350°F, which is more than satisfactory to protect paper documents. However, if the temperature reached 460°F and higher, paper documents would burst into flames.
Prevents damages from water
FireKing 6-2552-C’s insulation material has water resistance too. It prevents damages from water that comes from fire sprinkler systems and fire hoses. This file cabinet also passed a test that subjected it under two conditions – under a 15-minute test with up to 1,000 gallons of water spray and leaving it standing under 6 inches of water for one hour.
