This gun and pistol safe proudly bears an RSC level II for burglary classification. It survived and passed an extensive test conducted by a two-person team for 10 minutes. In this test, the unit had a series of physical attacks using a combination of common mechanical and electrical hand tools, including picks, pressure-applying devices, and high-speed carbide drills. The robust construction and high-quality materials of AMSEC BFII6636 made it endure the test successfully. This safe showcases a 2”-total wall thickness on all sides and a ½” steel plate door which contributed to the badge of excellence achieved.
Features concrete insulation material and two fire seals
AMSEC BFII6636 has a fire protection rating of 120 minutes at 1200°F and can maintain an interior temperature not exceeding 350°F within the same period. It features a poured concrete insulation material called DryLight between the steel and door, serving as a seamless barrier. This safe also includes a 2-stage dual fire seal, one in the door jamb, and an expandable seal on the door. This expandable seal helps keep the smoke out and prevents fire from spreading quickly.
